Adler University Annual Adlerian Summit

The 2025 Adler University Annual Adlerian Summit will be held in Chicago on May 9th, 2025. The summit's theme is  "The Human, the Artist, the Builder: Creating a thriving humanity—one step, one stroke, one brick at a time.” 

 

The summit will feature  

      

  • Dr. Lisa Coleman’s greeting  

  • The 4th annual Belongingness lecture (Dr. Terry Kottman will present Creative self-care for you and me, for us)

  • Breakout workshops by the popular Adlerian masters

    • Dr. Jim Bitter will present Stories, Fairy Tales, and Art: Uses of Imagination in Adlerian therapy

    • Dr. Sara Saeedi will introduce us to Creating Movement through the Past, Present, and Future

    • Dr. Jon Sperry will engage us in Using drumming to spark creativity, community, and connection

    • Dr. Terry Kottman will be back in a breakout session on using improv in counseling

  • The Dr. Richard Watts Student Adlerian Research Award 

  • Art show by Adler University art therapy students

  • Unveiling of the unique donated art 

  • The introduction of the two new Adlerian collections

  • Raffles, book sales, and giveaways 

  • Lots of Adlerian-style connections. 

  • Dr. Marina Bluvshtein will direct the event

  • The event is in-person only, but the keynote will be available for virtual attendance. 

  • Up to 4.5 CE hours will be available for in-person attendees. 

The event is free for all Adler University students, faculty, and staff. Reduced fee is available for alumni, training sites, and community partners. Please register HERE or scan the QR code on the flyer.

2025 NASAP Winter Virtual Institute

The NASAP Winter Virtual Institute will take place February 1, 2025 from 9:00 AM EDT/ 8:00 AM CDT until 1:30 PM EDT/ 12:30 PM CDT and include 3.75 CEs (NBCC and APA approved). The sessions will focus on clinical practice across a variety of settings. Cost is $50 for members, $20 for students, $90 for nonmembers.
